Does sildenafil interact with other medicines (drug interactions)?

Alcohol or marijuana (cannabis) can make you more dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness or clear vision until you can do it safely. Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products). For pulmonary arterial hypertension, sildenafil relaxes the blood vessels in the lungs. Sildenafil vs. tadalafil

Dosage for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)

Your doctor may start treatment with a lower dose of sildenafil to minimize your risk of low blood pressure. Other medications can affect the removal of sildenafil from your body, which may affect how sildenafil works. Examples include azole antifungals (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole), macrolide antibiotics (such as clarithromycin, erythromycin), mifepristone, rifampin, ritonavir, among others. Do not take this medication with any other product that contains sildenafil or other similar medications for erectile dysfunction-ED or pulmonary hypertension (such as tadalafil, vardenafil). If someone has overdosed and has serious symptoms such as passing out or trouble breathing, call 911. While less common, the most serious side effects of sildenafil are described below, along with what to do if they happen. Sildenafil may cause allergic reactions, which can be serious. Stop taking sildenafil and get help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.

Stop taking sildenafil and get help right away if you have sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. Sudden hearing loss has been reported after taking sildenafil. This may occur along with dizziness and ringing in the ears.

Sildenafil 20 mg Dosage for Erectile Dysfunction

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep all medications away from children and pets. Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company. Stop taking sildenafil and get help right away if you have sudden hearing loss or suddenly have trouble hearing as well as usual.

Sildenafil may cause a mild and temporary drop in blood pressure. You may be at a higher risk if you have certain health conditions or take blood pressure medicines. If you feel faint or dizzy, lie down.
